THE Police Academy franchise wrestled more than its fair share of the spotlight, with seven films grossing around £237 million at the box office.
But even though forty years have passed since the release of the first film in 1984, Leslie Easterbrook, one of the shows most recognisable faces, has hardly aged a day.
The 74 year old first appeared as Sergeant Debbie Callaghan, a tough training instructor, her tough girl persona winning a multitude of fans. Indeed by the end of the series, her character Debbie had been promoted to Captain.
Walking the red carpet in Hollywood recently, the actress showed off her slim figure in a stylish black and white polka dot shirt and black trousers ensemble.
In another appearance she wore a velvet black frock adorned with flowers, her blonde hair cut into a sleek bob. Wearing minimal make up, the actress also showed off her smooth and natural looking complexion.
Huge TV career
Following the success of Police Academy, Easterbrook went on to appear in more than 300 television shows, including Murder She Wrote, Baywatch and Diagnosis Murder.

She also had a recurring guest role in the popular US running series Laverne and Kelly.
In the fickle world of the film industry it can be hard to stay afloat, but Leslie has shown her ability to diversify, which has given her longevity.
Often compared to Britain’s the Carry on Films, the Police Academy comedies follow a group of underdog cops, struggling to prove themselves, while being suppressed by various authority figures.
Leslie Easterbrook appeared in six of the seven films and is considered one of the shows most memorable characters.
