Classical group Il Divo – now made up of Urs Bulher, David Miller and Sebastien Izambard and Steven LaBrie – have released ten studio albums and sold 30 million records worldwide.

But they were struck by tragedy in 2021 when founding member Carlos Marin died after contracting Covid.

Last year it was announced Steven would be joining the group and now they’ve revealed plans for a huge tour to celebrate two decades of hits.

Posting the news on social media, they wrote: “We are so excited to announce our 20th anniversary UK tour this October.

“Tickets on general sale at 9:30am on Friday 19th April.”

Il Divo’s self-titled debut album reached number one in 13 countries and their third release – Ancora – topped the US Billboard Top 200.

After falling ill with Covid, Carlos was taken to the Manchester Royal Hospital on 8 December 2021.

Days later Il Divo announced a delay to all performances until 2022 down to band “illness” but gave no further details.

In a statement, they said: “Unfortunately, due to illness, the remaining dates for Il Divo’s December 2021 UK tour have been postponed until December 2022.

“Il Divo are deeply sorry to their fans, but look forward to returning to the road in the new year and seeing you all in the run up to next Christmas.”

But on 19 December the group confirmed that Carlos had passed away, writing: “He will be missed by his friends, family and fans. There will never be another voice or spirit like Carlos.

“For 17 years the four of us have been on this incredible journey of Il Divo together, and we will miss our dear friend.”
