Katie Price takes new swipe at ex Peter Andre as she insists bankruptcy is ‘down to her ex husbands’

KATIE Price has insisted her bankruptcy woes are down to her ex husbands as she took a swipe at Peter Andre.

She claimed her former partners “mentally abused” her which left her ability to manage life in the gutter.

The mum also name dropped Pete in a new interview after being declared bankrupt again.

Opening up about her relationships, Katie said: “If men had not been in my life, I wouldn’t be in the bankruptcy that I’ve been in.

“I wouldn’t be tormented in my brain, or mentally abused like I have been.”

Katie added on the How To Fail podcast to host Elizabeth Day: “I have therapy all because of men.”

Looking back on her past, the star claimed her marriages were not equal or healthy.

And despite being happily loved-up with the Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, 31, she said her time with ex Kieran Hayler, 36, Peter, 51, and Alex Reid, 48, had left her wary of men.

She said: “The first one, Pete, I’d like to say it was real.

“But if you knew what I knew now, you can read my mum’s book, because I’ve been gagged.

“But everything we did was on TV because we had the same manager.

“The second and third were just rebounds, I rushed them because I wanted that married life back and living with someone with the kids because that’s what I had with Pete.

“So in therapy we talk about the patterns. Now I’m so exhausted with relationships.

“The next time I go out with someone they have to have qualities, boundaries, (no) red flags. And it does scare me.”

The mum-of-five previously received support at The Priory clinic while “recovering from PTSD”.

Speaking about her trauma being linked to her relationships, she went on say: “Communication and talking about things is the best way forward and I never knew how to do that before.

“I would keep it in [my head], which would make things ruminate in my brain and be worse and worse.

“But I do have to say all my, because, I was in there for severe traumatic rehabilitation of PTSD, it’s all caused by men.”

Elsewhere, Katie reflected on why has lasted so long in the Showbiz industry after finding fame as a glamour model in her teens.

She told the podcast: “I didn’t enter this world thinking I’m still going to be here until I’m 45, because normally it’s a two year shelf life.

“It’s like a drama series my life and because it is real, I think people can relate, and think wow well she’s been through that. It’s relatable.

“I’m not manufactured, I’ve made wrong choices. The worst thing about social media is you put stuff up because you’re angry, and you want to have a go at someone.

“But I’ve realised through therapy, that actually just sit back before you retaliate, because when you retaliate it means, media, other people, just say nothing. Which is so hard for me.

“Instead I communicate with my support group around me. I say, I want to say this, and they say no.”
