THE all American family home that featured in the hit 90s sitcom Roseanne, is up for sale and now a piece of television history could be yours for £175,000- (225,000 dollars.)

A comedy based on the daily life of a working class American family in a fictional suburb of Illinois, the inside of the home was anything but grand, with drab furnishings and dated décor.

But now the spacious home which has four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room, has been transformed with aspirational touches to appeal to the modern family.

There’s also an unfinished basement and a detached, two-car garage.

Running for nine seasons between 1988-1997 Roseanne starring US comedian Roseanne Barr in the title role, chronicled the tumultuous life of a blue-collar  family headed up by the dry-witted Matriarch, Roseanne.

In 2017, ABC announced it had greenlit a revised version of Roseanne with the original cast returning.

It premiered on March 27, 2018, to an initial audience of 18.44 million, which grew to 27.26 million total viewers.

Different to other saccharine American comedies, the show deviated from the norm and broke new boundaries for prime-time television. Tackling taboo subjects such as addiction, birth control and homosexuality.

Later in 2018 a spin-off called The Connors aired on ABC, featuring many of the same characters.
