Life

UAE has officially announced the dates for the Eid Al-Adha holidays in 2023. According to local media reports, the sighting of the Dhul Al Hijjah crescent moon has determined the schedule.

The crescent of Dhu al-Hijjah was sighted by the UAE Moon Sighting Committee on Sunday, confirming that Wednesday, June 28 is the first day of Eid Al Adha 2023.

Arafat Day, an important religious occasion in the Islamic calendar dedicated to reflection and prayer, will take place on Tuesday, June 27. It is advisable for businesses to anticipate reduced staffing or limited availability on this solemn day.

Following Arafat Day, Eid Al-Adha will commence on Wednesday, June 28. This joyous celebration honours Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son. The festivities will span from June 28 to July 1, during which there may be a decrease in workforce participation or temporary closure of certain businesses.
