Princess Beatrice is in Pakistan as part of ‘high-level delegation’

Ahead of her wedding

Princess Beatrice maybe part of the British Royal Family, but her latest high-level trip had nothing to do with the monarchy.

The 31-year-old was in Pakistan, leading a “high level delegation” heli-skiing trip as part of her job at artificial intelligence firm, Afiniti. As the Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy at the company, the Princess was in-charge of this trip to the South Asian country.

Buckingham Palace has not released a statement about Beatrice’s trip, but images have been shared by the influential figures on Twitter. President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi, tweeted news of the trip, writing: “President Dr Arif Alvi hosts a high level delegation led by Princess Beatrice of York at the Presidency, who are in Pakistan for heli-skiing expedition.” In the images shared, the royal can be seen greeting the Pakistani leader.

He added: “It reflects the trust of foreign tourists over tourist potential in Pakistan and that’s why such a large delegation has come to Pakistan to enjoy skiing.

“With the world increasingly acknowledging Pakistan’s natural beauty, Pakistan is destined to emerge as the tourist hub of the region and beyond.”

Other influential leaders on the trip included Italian politician Matteo Renzi who shared a photo of the mountains with ski tracks.

Pakistani politician Sayed Zulfi Bukhari took to Twitter, sharing pictures of the Princess with Prime Minister Imran Khan; Spanish politician Jose Maria Aznar; Renzi; British politician Ed Miliband, and Afiniti chief executive and Pakistani-American businessman, Zia Chishti. In the photos, the group can be seen sitting together, having lunch.

Late last year, Princess Beatrice got engaged to property mogul, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. And the couple are expected to walk down the aisle sometime later this year.
