Emirates relaunches premium on-ground services

With the recent announcement from Emirates that they will be operating flights to a destination network of 50 cities in July, the Dubai-based airline has now relaunched some of its premium on-ground services.

As of today, July 1, Emirates’ chauffeur and airport lounge services will once again be available.

Easing into things reopening, the airline will begin with operating one lounge at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 Concourse B, which is there to serve business class and first class passengers, along with Emirates Skywards members.

In order to adhere to precautionary measures, a cap on capacity will be implemented along with further distances between seating areas, in-keeping with social distancing measures. As well as this, adhering to the current rules in place in Dubai Airport, masks must also be worn at all times.

As for food that is served in lounges, the buffet will be closed. Instead, food will be served in sealed meal boxes and beverages will be served in single-use bottles.

Each day lounges will be sanitised thoroughly and as seats and tables will be cleaned thoroughly after use. Similarly, all employees working in lounges will be kitted out in PPE.

First and business class customers will also begin to enjoy complimentary chauffeur services. Just like lounges, all cars will be disinfected after each shift and drivers will wear masks and gloves.

So, if you’re planning on booking a trip it may be the perfect timing given premium services have relaunched, along with the many new destinations Emirates have recommenced flights to.

However, ensure you follow all the government guidelines in place to leave the country including getting permission to leave, and if you’re wanting to return to the UAE make sure you meet all the requirements.
