Palace denies Meghan Markle rumours and fans are disappointed

Meghan Markle used to run lifestyle blog The Tig before her royal days. Recently, fans suspected that the duchess might re-launch the website.

  • Meghan Markle used to run lifestyle blog The Tig before she got engaged to Prince Harry.
  • It was recently rumoured that the Duchess would be re-launching her lifestyle website, after she filed a trademark for the name.
  • In other royal news, a royal expert has waded in on why Prince Harry and Meghan could be facing a ‘very very hard’ time in their relationship.

If you were a fan on Meghan Markle’s The Tig website, we have some bad news for you – the Palace has quashed rumours that it might be making a comeback.

Rumours swirled earlier in the week that the duchess would be re-launching the lifestyle blog, after it was revealed that her business manager, Andrew Meyer, had renewed the trademark to website’s name rights.

There was also a website under Mr Meyer’s trademark called Tigtots, which fans thought may be a prospective parenting website run by the duchess.

However, the palace have apparently shut down any possibility of the website reboot, with a spokesperson telling PEOPLE that there are ‘absolutely no plans to relaunch The Tig,’ explaining ‘the lasting trademark is to prevent false branding, to avoid others purporting to be the Duchess or affiliated with her.’

Before becoming a royal sensation, Meghan Markle used to run the popular lifestyle blog, which followed Meghan in her daily life and on her travels, covering topics surrounding food, travel, fashion and beauty.

However, as the duchess’s relationship with Prince Harry blossomed and became more public, she took the decision to close the blog, writing a final post that read: ‘To all my Tig friends,

‘After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig.

‘What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy.

‘Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being “the change you wish to see in the world.”

‘Above all, don’t ever forget your worth – as I’ve told you time and time again: you, my sweet friend, you are enough.

‘Thank you for everything. Xx’
