Loose Women’s Jane Moore praised for sharing body positive post on Instagram

Jane Moore has been praised for sharing a body positive post on Instagram.

The Loose Women panellist took to her social media page to share a bikini snap and encourage other women to feel more positive about their bodies.

Opening up in the candid post, the 57-year-old captioned her black and white bikini shot: ‘I know it’s de rigeur to post photos pointing out whatever you think your flaws are, but I’m too old for all that. So instead, I’m very happy to post a flattering snap when I see one!

‘No, I don’t look anything like this standing up (as you can tell from the white stripe on my midriff where, thanks to perfectly normal tummy folds, the sun don’t shine) and yes I have cellulite that you can’t see, but so what?

‘This image is still “real”,’ she continued, ‘it just happens to be a reclining, artfully shadowed reality captured by The Bloke who likes to take b/w shots on his phone.

‘It’s more reminiscent of a painting than a photo, but I really like it so I thought I’d share it.💋

Ending her body positive caption, she added: ‘We all have favourite photos of ourselves, don’t we? When was YOUR favourite photo taken? Was it a professional one? Or did someone just capture you in a moment? .

Fans took to the comments section to praise the Loose Women regular for her encouraging post and her candour in opening up on social media.

‘Good for you, Jane,’ wrote one fan. ‘We’re our own worst critics at times, so it’s refreshing – and empowering – to see someone “owning up” to feeling good about themselves. And I don’t blame you. Looking good girl 💕’.

‘Good on you girl,’ added another. ‘I’m 73 and still wear a Bikini 👙 Cause I Can. You’re a beautiful lady so flaunt it’.

Another commented: ‘Fantastic picture, we should all be proud of our bodies’, while one referred to the TV presenter’s husband Gary Farrow, sweetly adding: ‘Someone once told me that the best photos are always taken by someone you love. I think this is true 💕💕’.
