The Strictly couple revealed that their baby had arrived in the sweetest way.
Gemma was first to share the exciting news with fans, posting an image of a dictionary definition of the word ‘family’ to Instagram.
‘And just like that, we’re a three!’ she wrote. ‘Our beautiful baby daughter arrived on Thursday 4th July and myself and Gorks couldn’t be happier. She’s incredible and certainly made an entrance, giving us all quite a fight at times. Little Miss Independent already! Thank you SO much to the nurses & doctors at The Royal Bolton Hospital who did the most incredible job taking care of myself and my baby. You’re all so wonderful and I’m so grateful to have had you all with me and to have been under your care these past four days. Back home now for family time and to introduce little lady to her big brothers Norman & Ollie…. Let the next life chapter begin.’
Gemma and Gorka announced that they were expecting back in February, when Gemma shared a sweet picture of their dogs Norman and Ollie wearing signs around their necks that read: ‘Guess what… Mum’s pregnant!’ and ‘We’re going to be big brothers!’
Gorka shared the news that the baby had arrived on his own Instagram account, posting an adorable picture of him and Gemma, which he captioned: ‘THE LAST PIC BEFORE WE BECAME 3.’
The Strictly pro sweetly called Gemma his absolute hero, writing: ‘After seeing you go through all you did to bring our little girl to life has made me love and respect you even more. What a trooper you are. I couldn’t be more proud of you!!’
The new mum has been praised for her honest posts about her pregnancy experiences. In May, Gemma revealed she’d been hospitalised with her fourth kidney infection.
The couple’s celebrity pals were quick to offer their congratulations. Strictly pro Oti Mabuse wrote: ‘Wooooooohoooooooo!!!!! Congratulations we are aunties yesssss love you so much,’ while Karen Hauer commented: ‘So much love for you both !! Congrats !!’

TV presenter Ruth Langsford took to social media for the first time since her sister Julia’s death in June to congratulate the pair, writing: ‘Congratulations Yummy Mummy & Daddy! A beautiful (I’m sure) baby girl…what a precious gift. Sending you all much love.’
