Newly filed accounts for Rowling’s company HPTP Holdings — set up to handle just her theatrical companies — saw a turnover of £14million in the year to the end of March 2023.
That marked a significant rise on the £3.5million from the previous financial period when theatres were still affected by Covid restrictions.
The biggest revenues — £5.3million — came from London ticket sales, while the US showings produced £4.6million.
After tax and investments, the profit for the year was £5million — up from £1.3million.

The Cursed Child is set 19 years after the Deathly Hallows instalment of the franchise and follows the son of wizard Harry.
The two-part play was first performed in the West End in 2016.
As well as Broadway, it has expanded to runs in Canada, Australia, Japan and Germany.
