Steve Harley was a British singer and songwriter.
He was born on February 27, 1953 in Deptford, London and died on March 17, 2024 in his home in Suffolk.
Harley died following a short battle with cancer.
In February 2024 his team announced on social media that the singer had to pause his tour due to his cancer treatment.

The statement said: “Due to on-going treatment for cancer, Steve cannot commit to any concerts in 2024.
“Steve is hoping next year will be altogether different.
“He appreciates all you kind words and good wishes. Team SH.”
What was Steve Harley best known for?
Harley was best known for being the frontman of the rock group Cockney Rebel.

Cockney Rebel was formed in the early 1970s by Steve Harley and his former folk music partner Crocker.
The band had five members including drummer Stuart Elliott, bassist Paul Jeffreys, and guitarist Nick Jones.
They had five albums in the UK Albums Chart and twelve singles in the UK Singles Chart.
After having many band member changes the band split up in July 1977 and Harley focussed more on his solo career.
His best known song is the 1975 hit Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me).

Harley was married to his wife Dorothy, whom he married at Marylebone Register Office in February 1981.
The pair lived together in North Essex.
For their tenth anniversary in 1991 the couple had a wedding blessing ceremony at their local church in Belchamp Otten, Essex.
Did Steve Harley have any children?
Harley has two daughters named Kerr and Greta.
His daughter Greta announced his death on Sunday March 17, 2024 on social media.
She said: “We are devastated to announce that our wonderful Husband and Father has passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side.
“The birdsong from his woodland that he loved so much was singing for him. His home has been filled with the sounds and laughter of his four Grandchildren.
“Stephen. Steve. Dad. Grandar. Steve Harley. Whoever you know him as, his heart exuded only core elements.
