He tends to go by Mark Rylance.

Rylance plays the role of Thomas Cromwell in Wolf Hall: The Mirror and The Light.

He will be returning to the drama in the second series alongside Damian Lewis who plays Henry VIII.

Wolf Hall is based on the final novel in Hilary Mantel’s multi award-winning trilogy.

Almost ten years after the first series aired, the new season explores Cromwell continue his climb to power and wealth.

Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light will air on BBC One and iPlayer but an exact date has not yet been announced.

The series will consist of six episodes.

“Led by Mark Rylance and Damian Lewis, they’ve been drawn by the quality of Hilary Mantel’s writing and Peter Straughan’s adroit adaptation.”

His film career began when he starred in films such as Prospero’s Books (1991), Angels & Insects (1995) and Institute Benjamenta (1996).
