Forbes released a statement saying: “When Kim Kardashian West was first mentioned in the pages of Forbes in 2011, it was simply a tally of her Twitter followers: 6.6 million, just below Barack Obama and just above Ashton Kutcher.
“Five years later, she graced the cover of Forbes thanks to her booming mobile game, which helped her earn $51 million that year. Now, she officially joins the World’s Billionaires list for the first time.”
Kim blasted past the billionaire pound target after she sold 20 per cent of her KKW Beauty brand to cosmetics conglomerate, Coty.
The deal was worth a reported $200million.

Kim was in the public eye from the moment she was born as her father is the famed OJ Simpson attorney – Robert Kardashian.
She grew up in Los Angeles and had a huge number of famous pals.
But she became a household name when the infamous 2002 sex tape was leaked with her then-boyfriend, Ray J.
Shortly after, Kim would start to appear on the iconic Keeping Up With the Kardashians show.
Featuring the whole Kardashian clan, the show went on to be a major driving factor into Kim’s rise in popularity.
