‘True beauty’ say fans as Scary Movie star, 53, soaks up the sun on holiday and hasn’t aged a day since iconic comedy

NOUGHTIES actress Regina Hall turned heads last week on Instagram after posting a series of stunning swimwear pictures from a lavish trip to Los Cabos, Mexico.

The Scary Movie actress, 53, had joined a collective of close friends, including celebrity bestie Sanaa Lathan, 52, to celebrate the birthday of their mutual friend, and fellow actress, Elisa Perry.

Regina and Sanaa formed a life-long bond when the two up-coming thespians worked together on classic rom-com hit film The Best Man back in 1999.

The talented bunch enjoyed the finest meals and mojitos by the pool, while staying at the luxurious and 5-star resort, Nobu Hotel Los Cabos.

After posting the gorgeous awe-inspiring pictures on social media, celeb friends and fans alike were left wondering how the The Girls Trip actress had managed to defy the ageing process.

Her Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul co-star and friend Sterling K. Brown, 48, chimed into the conversation as he too couldn’t comprehend how the actress appeared to have not aged a day over her 90s film debut.

The Oscar-nominee commented under the immaculate holiday snaps which saw the star adorn a beautiful swimsuit on a beach lounge chair outside of the exclusive resort.

The actor said: “What a cutie patootie!”. Holiday buddy, Sanaa left a short and affirming message under the popular post: “Yes Gorgeous!”

Fans echoed a similar sentiment, and shared their fascination with the actress’s youthful appearance, with one fan leaving the comment: “You are a timeless beauty for sure!”

Another Regina enthusiast comedic star said: “YOU ARE A TRUE BEAUTY AND LOOK GOOD! PLEASE JOIN A SCARY MOVIE REBOOT NOW!”

REGINA’S BEAUTY SECRETS

She told Essence Magazine back in 2014 she credits her vibrant and youthful glow to an assortment of fitness routines and beauty products.

Regina said: “I use a Shiseido foaming cleanser. I also use a variety of organic Vitamin C products including a Vitamin C moisturiser.”

The actress divulged her fitness routine to People Magazine back in 2022: “Outdoor activities have brought me a lot of joy, like hiking. I also regularly use my Peltaton bike.”

She continued: “I also use a rowing machine, which I used to find challenging but now I enjoy it. I like being active, but I also enjoy sleeping. Getting lost’s of rest helps to keep you healthy.”

REGINA’S CAREER

The Washington, DC-born actress had her first film role as Candice ‘Candy’ Sparks in 1999 comedy-drama film The Best Man.

She acted alongside an ensemble cast including Sanaa, Nia Long, 53 and Taye Diggs, 53.

The following year she created even more of a splash in the film industry, the following year, as Lena Wright in Love & Basketball, as close friend to Sanaa’s character, Monica, in the film.

The journalism-graduate, catapulted into global fame later on that year, most notably for her role as larger-than-life Brenda Meeks in comedy horror movie Scary Movie.

Her hilarious character gained her global recognition as the 2000 horror parody film became an instant success, grossing an astonishing £223 million in worldwide sales.

The Wayans Brothers developed franchise, would include Regina’s comedic prowess in the succeeding successful Scary Movie franchise: 2002’s Scary Movie 2, 2003’s Scary Movie 3 and 2006’s Scary 4.

Total sales of the Scary Movie franchise totals to an incredible £721 million global sales.

In-between starring in the successful Scary Movie film series, Regina acted in TV series Ally McBeal from 2001 to 2002, Law & Order: LA in 2010 to 2011, Black Monday from 2019 to 2021.

The actress also starred in another comedy ensemble-led film, the lucrative 2012 comedy Think Like a Man, and it’s 2014 sequel Think Like a Man Too including actors Kevin Hart, 44 and Taraji P. Henson, 53.

The comedy film powerhouse balanced out her stellar TV role with a succession of film roles, including: 2013’s sequel to The Best Man: The Best Man Holiday, 2014’s About Last Night, 2017’s Girls Trip.

In addition to this, Regina expanded her acting range all the more with teen-drama film The Hate U Give as the character Lisa Carter back in 2018.

FUTURE PLANS

In March of this year, the BBC announced that it had acquired a variety of shows, including The Best Man: The Final Chapters from NBC Universal Television.

The 8-part series saw Regina reprising her role as Candice back in 2022.
