THE Repair Shop’s Jay Blades reveals savage dig made by Sir David Jason.
The TV presenter appeared on The One Show to promote his new show with former Only Fools And Horses icon, Sir David Jason.
Even though fans have praised the show en-masse, Jay, 53, admitted that the pair may not have always quite seen eye to eye.
The star opened up on a previous encounter he had with the star after he competed on Strictly Come Dancing.
Talking with hosts Lauren Laverne, 45, and Gethin Jones, 45, he admitted: “Sometimes I think ‘Am I really working with him?’
“What brought us together was, I was on Strictly and I danced to the theme tune of Only Fools and Horses.

“He then done me a video to say, ‘well done’.
“I then done a video back to him to say, ‘Look, you’re always invited down to the repair shop.”
However, he then went onto admit that when he was finally welcomed into the TV restoration workshop, Sir David appeared far from impresses.
“When he came there, he kinda had a little bit of a dig at me because there was a bit of rubbish on the floor.

“He was like, ‘What kind of establishment are you running here? This is not acceptable’. And he was really laying into it!”
“So I had to, I spoke to his misses, and I said, ‘Is he alright? Is he normally like this? Do I have to send him home?’
“And she said ‘nah’, he only takes the mickey out of people that he likes, and then we got on with each other, it was really cool.”
The pair star in a brand new show together on BBC One called David & Jay’s Touring Toolshed.
After Gethin Jones called the pair an “unlikely partnership,” the furniture restorer only had gushing words for his new co-star.
“He’s unbelievable. He’s like the chief tinkerer,” Jay admitted.
He then explained all the things that the actor builds in his garden which includes, trains with railway tracks and even rockets that land safely with parachutes.
The TV presenter even admitted how Sir David Jason likes to fix motorbikes as he confirmed: “He does a lot, he’s unbelievable.”
