But it seems Chaka Khan isn’t ready to say goodbye to the stage.

The 70-year-old will be headlining The Cambridge Club Festival in June this year.

She will be joined by Jessie Ware and Earth Wind and Fire for the gig.

In December last year, she announced that she was saying goodbye to life on the road after 50 years.

Chaka, who has performed all over the world, said she wanted to spend more time with her family.

The ‘I’m Every Woman’ hitmaker told Rolling Stone that she wanted to spread her gigs out so she could “sleep in between”.

Chaka said to the magazine: “I got this rich-a** life.

“I’ve got great grandchildren I want to get to know better.

“So I will not do another tour. I’ll do dates, but it won’t look like a tour.

“They’ll be far enough apart that I can have time to sleep in between.”

Chaka was asked if she will ever retire completely and she said she “might do that three or four times, like other b****es do”.

The 10-time GRAMMY winner was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023.

Last year she also celebrated 50 years in the music industry, and turned 70.
