Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington tragically died in 2017, having sold more than 100 million records and fronting one of the biggest bands in the world.

Amy, 41, told Canada’s iHeart Radio she’d like the gig.

She said: “I have not heard that. No, I have not been contacted or anything like that.

“But I’m a huge fan, I feel like our worlds, our fanbases are a lot of the same people.”

The Bring Me To Life singer added of the rumours: “No, it’s not true

“But that’s awesome. They should ask me about that. I don’t have a ton of free time, but I might do it part time.”

Singer Chester took his own life in 2017 aged just 41.

The father-of-two died just months after close pal and fellow rocker Chris Cornell also died by suicide.

“That was followed by two years of isolation and lockdowns and the whole pandemic situation.

“Great! And then finally things get back to kind of ‘normal-ish’, and then May happens.

“So I can’t really say that my past few, couple of years have been great. So 2023 is gonna be amazing, right?”

Evanescence has since announced Sick Puppies bassist Emma Anzai has joined the lineup.
