NOUGHTIES rap legend Akon has announced a huge tour, marking his return to the UK for the first time in 10 years.
Akon, 50, is set to perform in venues across Europe as part of The Superfan Tour, hot on the heels of his sold-out North American gigs.
The 17-city jaunt will kick off on April 27th at Birmingham’s O2 Academy before wrapping up at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg, Holland.
In the tour’s first month, he will perform at the Eventim Apollo in London, too as well as O2 Academy Glasgow and O2 Apollo Manchester.
Akon said in a statement: “I hope my UK and European fans are ready for a show filled with good music and energy! It’s been 10 years since I’ve done shows out here, so I cannot wait!”
His iconic hits include Lonely, Bananza, Smack That, I Wanna Love You and Right Now. General on-sale tickets will be available on Friday at 10am.

It remains to be seen whether Akon will pay a visit to former Towie star Yazmin Oukhellou – who he enjoyed a night out with just over a year ago.
The Essex reality star, 29, stunned fans when she posted a photo of her enjoying a night out with the Grammy nominee.
Yazmin enjoyed a boozy evening out with Akon at his EP record TT FREAK launch party at Aura bar.
They were joined by former Towie star Jasmin Walia, who looked incredible in a black figure-hugging mini dress, which showcased her trim figure.

Yazmin shared the group shot and simply wrote: “Gang,” with a love heart.
Her fans raced to comment on the unlikely friendship, with one writing: “You know u made it when you’re sat with Akon!!!! Wow.”
