Nineties pop star, 52, has barely aged a day since global smash hit album – as it’s revealed she’s dating TV star

GIRL group star Rozanda ‘Chilli’ Thomas has defied the ageing process after finally finding her happily ever after.

Chilli, 52, enjoyed success as 1 ⁄ 3 of the best-selling American girl group of all time TLC.

Over the years the Grammy Award winning artist has maintained her youthful glow by working out and maintaining a disciplined regiment.

Chilli revealed her beauty secrets to Essence Magazine back in 2020.

She said: “I do acupuncture. I do a lot of different things to make sure inflammation is not in my body.”

The No Scrubs singer also cited healthy eating as a contributor to her age-defying appearance.

She added: “[Eating healthily] helps and you can enjoy life a lot longer.”

The star’s youthful appearance is a frequent social media conversation thread, with internet users marvelling at the concept Chilli does not seem to age.

One Twitter user wrote: “CHILLI FROM TLC REFUSES TO AGE.”

It’s been over 25 years since the Georgia born singer first popped onto the music scene, with smash hits such as Creep, No Scrubs and Unpretty.

TLC formed in Atlanta, USA, in 1990.

Their debut album Ooooooohhh.. On the TLC Tip, was released in February 1992.

TLC fans think Chilli, 52, looks ‘ageless’ as she gears up for ‘grandma duties’ as son Tron Austin expecting first baby

The album, which boasted hits such as Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg and Baby-Baby-Baby, has been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, calculating shipments of four million copies in the United States alone.

It sold six million copies world wide, and is the group’s third most successful album, succeeding CrazySexyCool and FanMail.

The group were cited as trailblazers for their unique, colourful and baggy outfits, as well as incorporating R&B with a then upcoming new genre: Hip Hop.

It was their second album, 1994’s CrazySexyCool that helped them solidify Chilli as a superstar.

It sold 23 million copies worldwide and is recognised as the best-selling album of all time by a girl group in the US.

A single from the album, Waterfalls, was released the following year and achieved professional and critical acclaim.

The Pop and R&B song spent seven weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and addressed a number of important issues including safe sex.

TLC’s albums have sold 65 million records worldwide, making TLC the best-selling American girl group of all time.

The group’s awards include four Grammy Awards and five MTV Video Music Awards.

They still occasionally tour and made their critically acclaimed Glastonbury debut back in 2022.

The group were cited as a major influence for many girl groups, including Destiny’s Child and the Spice Girls.

Melanie C eventually went on to work with TLC’s Left Eye and she spoke of TLC’s impact on the band in 2020.

She tweeted: “Never Be the Same Again [was] my 1st UK No1 and my collaboration with the wonderful Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes. Myself and the Spice Girls were huge TLC fans. Couldn’t believe my luck when I had the opportunity to work with her.”

TLC’s fourth album 3D was their final with all three members.

Left Eye sadly passed away aged 30 in a car accident in 2002.

Chilli and T-Boz tearfully held a tribute to Lisa at the MTV Music Video Awards later that year, in their first public appearance after her passing.

Meanwhile in Chilli’s love life, she famously dated 2024 Super Bowl HalfTime Performer Usher in the early 2000s.

After the R&B couple split in 2004, it had been speculated the break-up served as an inspiration for Usher’s seminal diamond certified album: Confessions.

But one of the album’s producers, Jermaine Dupri who famously dated Pop Queen Janet Jackson in the 2000s, later revealed that was untrue.

Chilli recently posted an intimate picture with her new flame Mrs Doubtfire actor Matthew Lawrence, 44, on Instagram.

She captioned the post: “HAPPY ADVENTUROUS BIRTHDAY, my Love.”

Chilli opened up about their romance last year, telling PEOPLE magazine: “I never thought the name ‘Matthew’ would make me blush so much.”

The star added that she had seen some of Matthew’s work as an actor prior to dating, and that “she always thought he was cute.”

The 90s sensations have hinted that there have been no rows at present between them.

The singer said: “To this day, we have not had one argument.

“I’m like, ‘Matthew, it’s gonna happen one day, ‘cause we’re going to be together forever.’ ”

Chilli’s longtime representative, Christal Jordan, told PEOPLE Magazine in January 2023: “The couple have been dating since late 2022. I’ve never seen her this in love.”

The Brotherly Love star echoed a similar sentiment while chatting to Entertainment Tonight last year.

Matthew told ET’s Deidre Behar: “Life is always a surprise. My life is in a complete bloom right now.”

He added: “I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli. I’ve never gotten to be able to experience that kind of relationship before, so it’s quite special.”
