IT’S the first Monday in May and the stars are out in New York City in their best looks for the Met Gala.
Lea Michele revealed her baby bump in a silky blue Rodarte gown.
She graced the cream and green carpet with a long tuile train and floral detailing across her chest.
Tyla’s look also had fashion fans dropping their jaws with her literal interpretation of tonight’s theme, The Garden of Time.
Tyla wore a Balmain dress that mimicked sand with an hourglass in hand. Fans are loving the look with one writing on X, formerly Twitter, “Tyla in custom Balmain – EASILY one of my favorite looks of the night. 10 10 10 AHHHHH!”

Fashion fans are very critical of the Met Gala men this year online.

Over 1,000 pro-Palestine demonstrators have been spotted marching to the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art where the 2024 Met Gala is being held.
The crowd has removed steel barricades blocking off traffic leading to the gala, prompting a large response from the NYPD.
The protesters are a part of the group Within Our Lifetime and they called for a “Day of Rage” protest.
Tyla doesn’t care that she can’t sit
Tyla’s sand gown prevented her from moving as her team had to carry her up the stairs.

Mixed reactions to Rita Ora’s look
Some fashion fans are slamming Rita Ora’s Met Gala look online, with one even comparing her gown to a “beaded curtain.”
“Erm… #RitaOra I have so many questions,” another wrote.
Rita told Vulture that the beads aged “back to the first and second century BC,” adding they are, “older, I think, than anyone on this planet.”
Some fashion admirers loved the look, tweeting, “Rita Ora’s team sourced beads from across continents and archives around the world spanning across time & history to create this look, and if THAT’S not an incredible interpretation of this theme nothing is.”

Meet your renowned co-chairs
Globe editorial director Anna Wintour has enlisted four prominent figures to act as co-chairs for this year’s event.
These include Latin music and Puerto Rican sensations Bad Bunny and Jennifer Lopez, alongside actress Zendaya and actor Chris Hemsworth, marking his debut appearance at the gala.
Co-chairs play pivotal roles in promoting the event, crafting its theme and dinner arrangements, and gracing the red carpet at the onset of proceedings.
