Liam Gallagher’s hilarious reply to fan who asked whether his gigs at doomed Manchester Co-Op Live arena would go ahead

LIAM Gallagher has said he will perform in a Lidl store if Manchester’s Co-op Live arena is not open in time.

The former Oasis rocker, 51, is due to play four shows at the disaster-hit venue next month, but there is uncertainty over whether it will be ready by then.

Asked by a fan about a possible alternative, the Mancunian answered on X/Twitter: “Gig in LIDL.”

Oasis’ 2002 hit Little by Little — originally sung by his brother Noel — is almost tailor-made to be played in the budget supermarket’s aisles.

And Lidl happily accepted Liam’s proposal, joking in a reference to another Oasis track: “We’re gonna roll with it.”

It said it will apply for a late licence to ensure the concert can happen without a hitch — unlike the shows so far at the Co-op Live arena.

One fan quipped: “If you scan your Lidl card you’ll get an extra song and a roll with it.”

The £365million Co-op Live was due to open last month but has been marred by setbacks including power issues and part of an air conditioning unit falling off.

Concerts by Peter Kay, The Black Keys, Olivia Rodrigo and Keane have been delayed.

Take That and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie have moved their shows to the nearby AO Arena.

Another fan asked Liam, who is set to play Oasis classics as part of the 30th anniversary of the band’s debut album Definitely Maybe: “If they’ve cancelled Take That they will cancel you as well won’t they?”

To which Liam replied: “Who the f*** are Take That?”

He is currently set to perform at Co-op Live on June 15, 16, 27 and 28.
