Legendary noughties rock band haven’t aged a day as they celebrate 20th anniversary of huge hit

LEGENDARY rock band Simple Plan showed off their ageless looks as they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their hit track.

The Canadian group from Montreal, Quebec was formed in 1999.

The band’s current lineup consists of Pierre Bouvier, Chuck Comeau, Jeff Stinco, and Sébastien Lefebvre. 

They took to their TikTok account to mark two decades of their fourth and final single, Perfect, which was released in 2003.

Taking a trip down memory lane, the group analysed the music video, which saw them rocking out on top of a roof.

They told fans: “We weren’t on top of that house, they built a full blown fake roof in the middle of the street in the suburbs and it was only slightly less high.

“That was in 2002, they had to superimpose it onto the real house.

“That was the beginning of emo.

“Even the roof, it was hard to perform on that because there was no safety net.”

The four members look like they haven’t aged a day as they, with many fans shocked by the major throwback.

One wrote: “No no it hasn’t been 20 years coz that would make me old.”

A second posted: “Iconic. I swear I close my eyes and can remember the exact moment I saw it. I was 13 and you’ve been a huge part of my life ever since.”

A third added: “I have always loved this song. Esp through my teenage angst. Love u guys.”

The group has continued to perform sell out gigs up.

In 2022, they teamed up with Sum 41 for a tour as they celebrated more than two decades of music.

They are currently performing their Hard As Rock Tour in the UK, before heading to Brazil, Australia and a number of countries in Europe, before ending in the US.

The group with be performing their new album, Harder Than It Looks, which is the sixth studio album, released in May 2022.

They also worked with Busted on their recent greatest hits album that re-recorded their best known songs.

On April 14 they released a new version of their track Loser Kid, featuring rockers Simple Plan.
