JORDAN North has finally confirmed he’s replacing Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast – and who his co-hosts will be.

Last week, it was revealed Jordan, 34, had signed a big money deal to join Global after quitting Radio 1.

Now, it’s been confirmed from the horse’s mouth that he will hit the airwaves in April after much speculation.

Fans will be delighted to hear Jordan will be joined by his old Radio 1 colleague Chris Stark, as well as Sian Welby in the studio.

In a joint Instagram post with the station’s account, the former I’m A Celeb campmate can be seen posing in the iconic studio.

The caption read: “Welcome to Capital @jordannorth1, tap the link in our bio for all the deets!”

The York-native will also host Capital’s Summertime Ball in June.

Appearing on the show this morning, he said: “I am beyond excited to be joining Global and to wake up the nation every morning on Capital.

“I can’t wait to start working with the amazing team here and get stuck in, to create the most fun and entertaining breakfast show.

“Getting to host Capital Breakfast has always been a dream of mine and it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity that I simply couldn’t turn down.”

Chris added: “I’m buzzing for this amazing opportunity to be reunited with Jordan on the radio again.

“Together with Sian, the three of us are so excited to bring you the new Capital Breakfast Show. It’s going to be a LOT of fun!”

It was The Sun who confirmed that Jordan had broadcast his final drivetime show for the Beeb alongside Vick Hope.

Jamie Laing has been signed as his replacement and will begin his tenure in March.

A statement released by the BBC said: “Radio 1 will be saying goodbye to Jordan North.

“Jordan has been behind some of the most hilarious and entertaining moments on air over the years, and has been a constant source of inspiration for younger presenters.

“Thank you for everything.”

Roman, whose last show will be on Thursday, March 28, joined Capital in 2014 before hosting the prestigious The Capital Evening Show in 2016.

In 2017, he moved to Capital Breakfast and took the show nationwide in 2019.
