Graham Norton’s Virgin Radio replacements revealed as Celeb Juice and Apprentice stars as Strictly legend lands new show

GRAHAM Norton’s Virgin Radio replacements have been revealed after the presenter stepped down from his weekend shows.

In February the 61-year-old told listeners of The Graham Norton Radio Show that he would be leaving.

Now the station has announced some exciting additions to the station to fill the slots.

Graham’s show was broadcast every Saturday and Sunday between 9.30am-12.30am.

Now presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing star Angela Scanlon will be hosting a brand show breakfast show on both days from 7am until 10am.

Celebrity Juice and Virgin Radio regular Leigh Francis will host on Saturdays from 10am until 1pm with Tom Allen covering the same slot on Sundays.

While TV legends Dick and Dom will take over from 1pm until 4pm at the weekends.

Speaking of her new show, Angela, 40, said: “I know how many of you have dreamt about waking up to my husky dulcet tones, well dreams come true gang!

“I’ll be getting up with you every weekend on Virgin Radio & I am inappropriately excited. Stick the kettle on!”

And former CBBC presenters Dick, 47, and Dom, 46, added: “As genuine long term listeners and lovers of Virgin Radio we’re over the moon to be joining the team. We both started our journeys in local radio so it’s great to be back behind the mic.

Addressing his listeners in February, Graham said: “The show isn’t quite the normal show today because I have a bit of an announcement to make.

I’m kind of off. I’m leaving weekends here at Virgin Radio, I’ll still be kind of popping up on the station from time to time. But my regular Saturdays and Sundays, I, I’m stepping away.”

Revealing his reason for leaving his show, Graham added: “I’ve worked weekends between here and the old place for 13 years, and my life has changed a bit. So I just thought, well, I want my weekends back.”
