Former EastEnders star set to join Celeb MasterChef following stint on I’m A Celeb

SHE showed off some of her cooking skills around the campfire during her recent stint on I’m A Celeb, and I can reveal that Danielle Harold will soon be donning an apron again.

The ex-EastEnders actress who won several awards for her portrayal of brain tumour patient Lola Pearce-Brown, is to take part in BBC1’s Celebrity MasterChef.

A source said: “She is excited to show fans a completely different side to her and hoping to impress the judges with her culinary skills.

“It’s a high-brow series and she’s aware that she has to bring her A game, but she’s excited about the new challenge.”

Maybe she can ask her former campmate, food writer Grace Dent, for some tips.

In December last year, Danielle revealed she felt ‘wiped out’ by her jungle illness but fought on in a bid to win I’m A Celebrity.

Millions of TV viewers were completely unaware of the ­former EastEnders actress’s medical drama as none of it was shown on screen.

It was only after she became the fifth star evicted that she shared her health-scare secret with family and friends.

Petite Danielle, who is 5ft 3in, told a pal: “I felt wiped out, so rough and unwell, but I was determined to stay in there.

“I hadn’t gone all that way for it to end like that.”
