CHELCEE Grimes has broken silence on her “new relationship” – five months after she was pictured kissing best friend Christine McGuinness.
The songwriter – whose famous ex is Love Island’s Megan Barton Hanson – was a shoulder to cry on when Christine split from her husband Paddy in July 2022.
They grew close a couple of months before she announced the end of 11 years of marriage.
In August last year, confident Christine shared a kiss on the lips with Chelcee in front of holidaymakers during a trip to Ibiza.
Aside from a few public snogs, the pair have kept quiet about their bond, but when asked about her high profile relationships, Chelcee said: “It’s the job I’m in and the industry I’m in, it’s where I’m going to meet people, but it is weird.”
Speaking on Boots presents Taboo Talk, Chelcee continued: “I’ve got people commenting online and randoms sending me messages about my new relationship.

“In a bar, would you go over to a couple and start slating them? You just wouldn’t do it. The whole thing is off.
“I’m a very low key person. I’m kind of on the outskirts of everything. I love my life and the job I do, I’m very grateful and blessed, but the industry… I’m not ‘in it, in it’.
“I’ve dated people who are more ‘in it’ than me and it’s a whole new world for me. It’s very odd.
“If someone wants to take a picture of you then fair enough, but I don’t know why. I’m really not that interesting.”

Former footballer Chelcee met Christine when they both competed in ITV’s The Games, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Freddie Flintoff.
She had previously dated Love Island star Megan on and off for over a year.
Meanwhile Christine is still living with her ex Paddy, 49, for the sake of their kids, who have all been diagnosed with autism.
He is planning to tell all on their break up in a new show based on his life and divorce.
