MOST of us celebrate our birthdays with a gathering of our nearest and dearest and opening a special present or two.
But in the world of celebrity, the ultimate way to mark it is to take the phrase ‘birthday suit’ very literally.
Today Amanda Holden celebrated turning 53 – and her age-defying physique – by stripping off, sharing the nude photo of herself on Instagram.
The Heart FM presenter went totally starkers for the saucy snap on the edge of a cliff, which she captioned “birthday suit”.
Amanda, who has repeatedly spoken out about her refusal to cover up, previously said: “I don’t see the point in growing old gracefully.”
It’s not the first cheeky treat she’s dropped for fans on her birthday either – three years ago she posed nude on top of a three-tiered cake, decorated with roses.

The actress was completely naked – apart from a well-placed neck tie that covered her modesty.
Jennifer turned 40 a few months later, in February 2009.
Gwyneth Paltrow
It’s somewhat of an annual tradition for Gwyneth to pose naked on her birthday.
In 2021 she celebrated her 49th birthday by sharing a picture of herself in the bath, and the year before, she ran free and showed off her naturist tendencies, prancing around in the woods.

In 2022, Gwyneth marked her 50th by spraying herself in metallic gold body paint for a Goldfinger-inspired photoshoot.

Liz Hurley has hardly aged a day in the past 30 years, and to prove it, she stripped off in the bath for her 55th birthday.
The actress looked sensational as she used the bubbles to cover her modesty.
The star captioned the post: “Happy Birthday to me. This is the fifth birthday we’ve celebrated during lockdown amongst my little group- including my mother’s 80th and my son’s 18th.
“Grateful to be happy and healthy and to have the best family and friends. Here’s hoping real life starts again one day”.
Kate Moss
When Kate Moss turned 40 back in 2013, she posed as a Playboy bunny for the iconic magazine.
She was seen donning black satin bunny ears, a bunny corset, French cuffs and a collar – all topped off with a pair of black stilettos.
The 18-page spread was to celebrate Playboy’s 60th anniversary, and it included an interview with Kate conducted by singer Tom Jones.
At the time of the photo shoot, Kate was married to rocker Jamie Hince.

Carefully positioning her knee to cover her modesty, the Mean Girls star simply accessorised with a pair of studs and some gold bracelets.
She captioned the post with a simple pink bow and birthday cake emojis.

Kourtney Kardashian thought the best way to celebrate her 38th birthday in 2019 would be to strip off.
Sharing a sexy snap of herself in water, showing off her curvaceous bod, she simply wrote: “Birthday suit.”

Celebrating his 41st birthday in 2015, the Angel hitmaker shared a cheeky snap of himself in the buff, covering his privates with his hands.

Having flaunted their toned physiques on Love Island back in 2016, stripping off was nothing for Olivia and Alex Bowen.

John Stamos
John Stamos has been a fixture on American TV screens since the Eighties – but to mark his 60th he made a rather surprising decision.
The actor, best known for the show Full House, shared a snap of himself naked outside in August last year.
