What is Avoidance about?

Avoidance follows the character of Jonathan navigating life after splitting from his wife Claire.

In order to avoid awkward questions, Jonathan takes his son Spencer to hide out with his sister Danielle and her wife Courtney.

The synopsis reads: “Newly separated Jonathan has no home, no friends and no ambition.

“Can a slightly useless single dad find some much-needed backbone?”

Where was Avoidance filmed?

Avoidance was filmed in Bracknell.

Specific locations such as the bus station are visited multiple times throughout the show.

Speaking about filming the second series, Romesh said: “I’m delighted to be back on set with this amazing cast, so much so it almost makes up for the crushing agony of my recent spandex-filled wardrobe fitting…”

Romesh’s production company Ranga Bee makes the comedy for BBC One which he writes alongside Benjamin Green and Jessica Knappett.

Ranga Bee was founded several years ago by Ranganathan and Green after they met while working together on BBC Three series Asian Provocateur.
