Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch is locked in £730k legal battle with two of daughter’s pals over sale of her belongings

AMY Winehouse’s dad is locked in a legal battle with two of her friends over the sale of the singer’s belongings.

Mitch Winehouse, 73, says the pals kept the profits from a £3.3million auction of her stuff, including clothes, underwear and make-up.

But Naomi Perry and Catriona Gourlay claim scores of items they sold at auction were either their own property or were given to them by Amy.

But they have now formally responded to a catalogue of 156 property queries submitted by Mitch in court documents seen by The Sun on Sunday.

It includes two bras, pairs of sunglasses, a lip pencil and body cream — all valued at hundreds of pounds.

Mitch wants to recover £730,000 he says should be paid to the foundation set up in Amy’s memory after her death in 2011 from alcohol poisoning aged 27.

Amy’s rumoured lover Catriona and stylist Naomi pocketed a chunk of £3.3million — including £200,000 for the last dress Amy wore on stage — from a US auction in 2021.

Notes and sketches by Amy were also said to be among items sold.

But a detailed list set before London’s High Court lays bare the full amount of property in dispute — and shows ex-taxi driver Mitch’s determination to pursue every last trinket.

Potential collector’s items listed include a skirt worn by Amy at a Grammy Awards do.

But the list continues down to trivia such as hair clips and eyeliner.

The Amy Winehouse Estate said: “The estate has questioned how these items came into their possession and has not had satisfactory answers. The estate has launched a legal process to clarify the situation.”

Naomi and Catriona say they were “generously gifted” items by Amy, Mitch’s figures are exaggerated and legal costs have drained money they made from the sale.

They added: “We are resolute in proving these allegations are false.”

The row comes ahead of the release in April of an Amy biopic starring Marisa Abela.
