Lenny’s parents are called Lisa and Steve Rush, and the family live together in Essex.
He has a rare bone growth disorder called spondylo-epiphyseal dysplasia congenita, resulting in dwarfism.
Lisa was a dental nurse, but she gave up her job when Lenny was born, as his condition meant he was kept in hospital for 4 months after his birth.

Lenny Rush is best known for his role as Ollie on BAFTA-winner Daisy May Cooper’s comedy drama series Am I Being Unreasonable?.
The six-part show first aired in 2022 and has since been confirmed for a second series, expected early in 2024.
Lenny won the Breakthrough Award and the Performance (Male) Award at the 2023 Royal Television Society Programme Awards for his role as Ollie, the son of Daisy May’s character, Nic, in the show.
The teenage-actor also bagged the BAFTA for Male Performance in a Comedy Programme at the TV awards in May 2023.
He’s best known for his role on Am I Being Unreasonable?, he Lenny started his TV career on the CBeebies docu-soap Our Family, after his mum, Lisa, applied.
A love of acting was sparked in Lenny: “I’ve sort of always been interested in acting, but Mum signed us in for Our Family and it’s got my whole family in it. I loved being in front of the camera so I went to an acting school and signed up with an agency called Quirky Kids.”

Lenny then went on to score roles on Apple Tree House and The Dumping Ground, both on CBeebies.
He then went had a regular role on BBC’s Dodger alongside former Doctor Who star Christopher Eccleston.
The actor also played Tiny Tim on stage in A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic in London in 2017 and 2018.
This is a role he later revived on-screen in a BBC TV version of the Charles Dickens classic in 2019, directed by Steven Knight.

Lenny will host the 2023 Children In Need on BBC One on Friday 17, along with other high profile presenters such as Ade Adepitan, Mel Giedroyc, Jason Manford, Chris Ramsey and Alex Scott.
He is also set to start in a new series of Doctor Who alongside Ncuti Gatwa, the Sex Education star-turned-new Doctor.
