David Tennant was born David John McDonald in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland, on April 18, 1971.

As well as being a movie and TV star, he is also known for his work with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

However, he best known for being the tenth Time Lord on Doctor Who, replacing Christopher Eccleston.

His first full episode as Doctor Who was the 2005 festive special, The Christmas Invasion.
