The Voice star blasted as ‘bitchy’ after secret backstage bust-up

RONAN KEATING is probably one of the most innocuous blokes in the business, and I’ve never heard anyone say a bad word about him.

He’s just that floppy-haired fella from Boyzone whose songs you snogged along to at your school disco.

But it turns out not everyone has such a beige opinion of the Irish music star, with insiders telling me poor old Ronan has caused a bit of a stink behind the scenes of The Voice in Germany after falling out with German singing star coaches, brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz.

The row, I am told, stemmed from simmering tensions over how the coaches compete to win over the acts, who must pick a favourite if more than one star wants to mentor them.

A source said: “Ronan clashed with Tom and Bill on The Voice and it all became really rather awkward.

“Tom and Bill thought Ronan had been acting badly during filming and it really annoyed them. They’re all very competitive about the acts and they want the right people to turn in the chair for them.

“With their own teams it’s all becoming a bit territorial and they think Ronan has gone about some things in the wrong way.

“It all became a bit tense. Bill and Roman had some words backstage and it got heated.”

During the most recent episode of the show, tension between Ronan and Bill seemed to hit boiling point, with the show’s host joking: “The hot seat is not just hot — it’s burning.”

Ronan was also seen in a huff after his artist Anne Mosters was beaten by Bill’s singer Marc Allergott, with Ronan moaning: “I am unhappy. That is crazy. That is not OK.”

He asked: “What the f**k?”

Bill and Tom — who is married to supermodel Heidi Klum and sings with German pop group Tokio Hotel — recently hinted at issues between him and Ronan, branding the Irish singer “bitchy” for his antics on the show.

Speaking about Ronan in Germany, Bill said: “People have been saying that he’s a great world star.

“He’s not any more.”

Ouch.

Guest Ed cent Fiddy fans wild

50 CENT made sure his last show at London’s O2 Arena was one to remember by bringing out Ed Sheeran.

The rapper posted this picture on Instagram after the gig, which saw Ed hit the stage to perform his hit single Shape Of You before returning to his box to watch the rest of 50’s set.

The In da Club rapper said: “My man came through for me tonight. London went crazy. It don’t get bigger than this.”

Tuesday’s gig was 50’s third at the O2 this month, two of which were sold out. He wraps up his mammoth Final Lap Tour in Arizona in the US in March.

Ed doesn’t have any more gigs before Christmas but I won’t be surprised if he pops up on stage again elsewhere before the end of the year.

OLLY MURS revealed he created a stink when he first met Gary Barlow at a recording studio in 2010.

The Troublemaker singer was in the loos after a curry to calm his nerves ahead of a session with producer Trevor Horn when he spotted Take That’s frontman.

But things took an awkward twist.

Speaking to Gary on Take That’s This Life podcast, out today, Olly said: “I’ve come out of the cubicle and there’s this gentleman washing his hands.

“I’ve walked to the tap and gone, ‘F**k. It’s Gary Barlow’. “You turn to me and you went, ‘That f**king stinks’, and walked out.”

Luckily for Olly, Gary never mentioned it again.

Take That, whose album This Life is out tomorrow, played the BBC Radio Theatre this week.

The gig airs on Radio 2 tonight at 7pm and on BBC Two on Saturday at 9.30pm.

Nice Ora-ra skirt Rita

RITA ORA once again took a fashion gamble as she headed out and about in London.

The You & I singer resembled a roulette board in a quirky red and black ruffle skirt and top at Global’s Make Some Noise charity gala in central London.

Rita vamped up her look by appearing to have borrowed Kylie Minogue’s PVC heeled boots from her recent Padam Padam video.

Meanwhile, Myleene Klass opted for a more classical look of a slashed blue gown and silver heels for the bash.

During the evening both stars took to the stage to perform for a host of VIPs at The Londoner Hotel in Leicester Square.

Recently reformed Busted, who will embark on a 2024 tour, also played a stellar set.

Mix bag millions

THE LITTLE MIX ladies will receive a Christmas gift of a whopping £3.2million.

Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock have closed down their firm Eternal Magic Touring Limited, which handled the profits from their tours, and will divide a grand total of £9.6million between them.

The cash – which they are set to receive on December 20 – was mainly made through their Confetti Tour in 2022.

That was their only UK-wide jaunt as a trio after Jesy Nelson quit and sold her shares in the firm.

Although, judging by the luxury holiday Jesy went on in the summer – visiting India, Sri Lanka, Turkey and beyond – she’s not short of a bob or two, either.

ELLA EYRE is back with her first single as an independent singer after ditching her label.

She will release Head In The Ground tomorrow ahead of live shows at London’s Jazz Cafe next week.

Meanwhile K-pop’s Aespa will drop their cover of Jingle Bell Rock and Paloma Faith is putting out Bad Woman.

Girls set to say it out Aloud

THE wait is almost over as Girls Aloud are poised to announce their return today.

Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts will be guests on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 show this morning to reveal details of their big comeback.

It is expected to include a new single, which would be their first in 11 years, alongside concerts.

They are continuing in honour of fifth member Sarah Harding, who died from cancer in 2021.

I told yesterday how the girls are the bookies’ second favourites to land the Christmas No1, 21 years after they hit the festive top spot with their debut Sound Of The Underground.

That would be the perfect way to bring their career full circle.
