ICONIC Friends star Matthew Perry has died after an apparent drowning.

The 54-year-old actor was best known for his portrayal of Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom, Friends.

Perry was reportedly found dead in a jacuzzi in his Los Angeles, California, home, according to TMZ.

The veteran actor has previously opened up about his struggles with addiction. The outlet reports that no drugs were found at the scene.

Just days before his passing, Perry posted a chilling final photograph of him inside a rooftop pool to Instagram.

    The U.S. Sun witnessed Perry’s father looking distraught as he arrived in his car and spoke to officers before slowly walking back to his vehicle and being allowed under the cordon.

    Matthew’s mother was also in attendance alongside his step-father.

    The U.S. Sun also learned investigators turned up at Perry’s Los Angeles home around 7pm local time, and were waiting for the coroner.

    The medical examiner stayed at the property for over an hour before taking Matthew Perry’s body to the funeral home.

    The photos showed a board that read: “Batman plays pickleball.” Perry captioned the photo: “WTF?”

    He explained: “You have to deal with an ileostomy bag 18, 19 times a day. A lot of suicides with an ileostomy bag. People can’t take it.”

  • Perry suffered gastrointestinal perforation

    In 2018, when Perry was 49, he suffered a gastrointestinal perforation as a result of extreme opiate usage.

    He was given a two percent chance of living after he was comatose for two weeks, and he had to use a colostomy bag while his colon, an imperative digestion organ, healed, he told GQ.

    While his body was relying on the bag, he woke up covered in his own feces “50 to 60” times during the five-month hospital stay.

    So far none of his costars have spoken.

    “Chandler has always been such a comfort character growing up, i can’t believe Matthew Perry is gone,” one user on Twitter said.

    “This one hurts a lot rest in peace Matthew Perry you’ll always be our chandler bing,” another user said.

    “Rest in peace to the man who played one of my favorite characters of all time. matthew perry was able to put a smile on my face when no one else could and i’ll remember his impact he had on me and his legacy forever,” another comment said.
