Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, 41, better known as global superstar Lil Wayne didn’t hold back on the Hollywood Wax Museum after seeing the waxwork pop up on his X account after it became viral online.

The influential rapper said: “Sorry wax museum but dat sh*t ain’t me!

“You tried tho and I appreciate the effort.”

Despite it being obvious who the figure is supposed to be it isn’t the most flattering model of the star.

Covered in Lil Wayne’s famous jumble of tattoos all over his body, neck and face with the classic diamond-encrusted grills in his mouth Wayne looks okay on first glance.

But after a closer look the dreadful face shape, awkward looking tired eyes and a distinct lack of jewellery made the wax figure a huge let-down for fans.

They flocked to X and made the image blow up as thousands of hilarious comments were made.

One user posted a classic meme of the potential rap GOAT doing his funny, confused face with the caption: “Lil wayne when he sees this.”

Another joked: “It must have been done by AI because what level of wizardry is this?”

A final X user tore into the wax museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee calling the model: “A very low budget wax painting lol.”

Many also had a laugh over how short Wayne looked in the picture.

Lil Wayne, famous for being just 5ft 5in is used to being clowned over his short stature but the “lifelike” figure seemed to come up a little short on his expectations.

It comes after world famous actor and professional wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson faced a similar fate with his brand new wax figure which was just as bad.

The star, 51, took to social media to say he’s asked his team to contact The Musée Grévin in Paris to improve the poor first attempt they put on show.

Fans again flooded to social media to put the museum on blast for the controversial waxwork.

People were annoyed at the light skin colour designers went with as it doesn’t reflect his Samoan and black heritage.

The Rock even asked for his skin colour to be “updated.”

Johnson reposted a video by comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr, who made fun of the awkward replica.

He said: ‘They turned The Rock into a pebble.

“It look like The Rock ain’t never seen the sun a day in his life. Whoever the artist is don’t need to do no type of art.”

The movie star captioned his reply: “I knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshairs. Legit belly laughed at this.”

Staff at the museum quickly responded to the criticism and promised to urgently fix the waxwork.

Yves Delhommeau, the museum’s director said in a statement: “They’re going to work all night on it so that it’s more in line with fans’ expectations.

“Crews will work through the night to ensure the likeness is more in keeping with the expectations of his fans.”

Delhommeau continued, saying the skin colour debacle wasn’t the fault of the artist but the poor lighting in the room.

He also said that Johnson: “will come see us later on to see if there are other modifications that need to be made.”

Dodgy waxworks are all over the world including these 15 rather rubbish attempts that are almost impossible to figure out who they’re supposed to be.
