Fashion Forward Dubai, a leading fashion event for regional and international brands, is back and this weekend is packed with shows, talks and displays of some of the newest and most innovative collections. Dress to impress and head down to the Dubai Design District from 2pm.

If you are attending one of the many events at Fashion Forward Dubai, then why not take a quick cocktail break at one of our favourite spots in town? From 5pm-8pm The Lighthouse will host Swag Hour where you can choose one of the three new cocktails  and that can be enjoyed with a side of small bar snacks like Buschetta, Feta Bites and Falafel Souvlaki.

The Ritz-Carlton Dubai, JBR, has launched a brand new brunch that combines two of our favourite things – fresh seafood and beach access. Every Saturday they throw ‘Chill & Grill’ beach BBQ filled with unlimited barbecued food, pre and post brunch with beach and pool access across five outdoor swimming pools with kids slide and lazy river, along with the option of adding a 30-minute spa treatment. Bliss! Packages start from Dhs395 for soft beverages with beach access and Dhs575 per person inclusive of ‘ soft beverages, pool and beach access and a 30-minute relaxation massage.

The Loft at Dubai Opera is throwing an epic Halloween bash inspired by the world’s most popular musical – Phantom of the Opera. Taking place on October 31 from 9pm, dress your scariest 1880’s costume and be in with a chance to win a bottle of bubbly. Drink packages start at Dhs299 for bottomless drinks from 9pm to 12am, Dhs398 for bottomless drinks from 9pm to 2am and you can grab some food at Dhs50 per dish. Options include Oysters, margherita pizza, zingy tuna tartare and BBQ wings.

Want to exercise in style? Then head down to one of the swankiest new Platform Studios in DIFC. THE Party

If there is one event you need to be at this weekend it Nikki Beach Dubai White Party. The annual global event takes place this Saturday between 12-9pm, and this year’s the theme is Masquerade. Dress in your whitest outfit and head down to the beachside resort to enjoy poolside glamour and delicious food at their restaurant.

Celebrate World Vegan Day

Herbivores among us can mark World Vegan Day (Friday, November 1) at Ramusake where your vegan diet is rewarded. Each time you order a dish from their special vegan menu you receive a complimentary Japanese sangria – also vegan.

Calling all shopaholics

If there was ever a time to splurge, it’s during Black Friday. Borrowed from the Americans who hit the discount aisles post Thanksgiving, this weekend (October 31-November 2) will see all the major Malls in Dubai offer up 90 percent off. Time to get all you Christmas shopping done.

Rock DJ

DJ Peggy Gou returns to Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE on Friday November 1 with a flow of mixes that will keep you dancing to the beat all night. Regularly spotted at the coolest events and sets around the world, including Burberry, Gou creates music that weaves through commercial dance, acid house and drum ‘n’ bass. To mark her return, the venue will be hosting a Mediterranean inspired Friday pop-up brunch from 1-4pm, priced at Dhs350. Otherwise you can get tickets for Dhs150 with entry from 4pm.
