With the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays and a relaxing summer on the horizon, many will be looking to escape the Dubai heat.
As the world turns to normality, restrictions have eased globally making travelling much easier after a two-year hiatus.
To ensure you’re aware of all the requirements prior to travelling, has curated a guide of all the destinations to visit ASAP.
No PCR test
Indonesia
As per the latest restrictions, no PCR tests will be required upon arrival. Fully vaccinated travellers will not be required to quarantine. However, proof of vaccination will be required through the PeduliLindungi app on your mobile phone to access any public areas. Whether in Bali or Jakarta, the country has an archipelago of islands to discover when visiting.
Jordan
Visitors to Jordan are longer required to show proof of negative PCR tests. However, prior to travelling all passengers must register their details and vaccines on the platform Visit Jordan. To enter various public venues such as shopping malls, government buildings and hotels, the proof of vaccine will be required to enter.
United Kingdom
From May 31, 2022, onwards, all COVID-19 entry restrictions for travel to the UK, include any requirements for testing, vaccination, quarantine and entry forms. While a face mask isn’t mandatory in England, wearing a medical mask during departure from the Dubai airport is required.
Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has lifted most of its COVID-19 travel restrictions including the need for a PCR test. All travellers must still need to be vaccinated with an approved vaccine and the Registration Immunization Information Form on the Muqeem Portal must be filled to use the Tawakkalna application to prove anyone’s health status. With an exciting range of activities and the vast desert expanse, travellers can visit all the heritage sites and new restaurants that the Kingdom has to offer.
Seychelles
Being one of the first destinations to achieve high vaccination rates, this luxe archipelago is now open for tourists to travel. Fully vaccinated travellers can now visit without a PCR test needed and layback in style and those passengers who have recently had a COVID infection two to 12 weeks before the date of departure.
Thailand
Tourists visiting the country will require a Thailand Pass QR code to enter the country. The code is valid for a period of 72 hours from the time of arrival. All fully vaccinated passengers will need a certificate of vaccination and a valid QR code, however not fully vaccinated travellers will need to have an RT-PCR issued 72 hours prior to departure.
No PCR tests or vaccination certificates
Austria
This stunning country has removed all the COVID-19 entry restrictions for travel to Austria. Passengers will no longer need to present a vaccination certificate or PCR test results during the visit. The quarantine measures have also been lifted. However, when travelling on public transport, all passengers must wear a mask at all times.
Denmark
After becoming one of the first countries to slowly lift restrictions, travellers visiting Denmark will no longer be required to hold a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or a PCR test result to enter the country with quarantine restrictions also been lifted. From the cobbled streets to minimal architectural sites, this country is a must-visit.
Egypt
A trip to visit the pyramids has never been easier. Passengers are no longer required to hold a COVID 19 vaccination certificate or a test result to enter the country, as overall restrictions have been eased.
Germany
As per the latest rules from June 11, 2022 onwards, travellers from the UAE will no longer be required present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate or test result and are no longer required to complete a passenger locator form to enter the country. All quarantine restrictions have been updated.
Greece
After opening its borders completely for tourism on March 1, 2022, visitors travelling to Greece are no longer required to show proof of vaccination and PCR tests upon arrival. This means that unvaccinated passengers can travel without any restrictions, making this a big step to return to normality.
Hungary
Anyone travelling to Hungary is free from all the COVID-19 restrictions previously imposed. Per the latest rules passengers are no longer required to hold a vaccination certificate, negative PCR test results, or complete the passenger locator form. From the parliament to the Széchenyi thermal baths, there are numerous touristic spots that you can tick off your bucket list.
Norway
Completely open for travel, this picturesque country no longer has any COVID-19 entry restrictions for travel. No testing, vaccination, quarantine, or entry forms will be required upon arrival and passengers can travel freely.
Oman
If you’re looking to travel to somewhere close by, Oman is the perfect option. From May 23, 2022 onwards, travellers are no longer subject to any COVID-19 restrictions which include testing, vaccination, quarantine, and entry forms.
Turkey
From Bodrum to Ankara to the country’s capital city of Istanbul, Turkey has an endless array of possibilities when it comes to exploration. From June 2, 2022, visitors are no longer subjected to any COVID-19 travel restrictions, including the need for a vaccination certificate or PCR test to enter the country. Quarantine restrictions have also been lifted for smooth travel purposes.
