A HOLLYWOOD star has shocked movie fans as he took the bus to this year’s Oscars.

Ed Begley Jnr ditched a limo for public transport as he travelled to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

A video posted to social media showed the 74-year-old A-lister looking dapper in his suit riding the bus through Downtown Hollywood.

Ed’s daughter Hayden captured the moment he snubbed a ride in the car for the Metro.

Speaking to the camera, the Young Sheldon star said: “I’ve been riding the Metro since before it was the Metro, it was the RTD.

“I use to take the 93 line Downtown into Hollywood.”

The star completed his awards look with his Academy and Metro pin.

Fans have been left stunned by Ed’s humble move as they flooded social media with their reactions.

One wrote: “I’ve been an Ed Begley Jr fan my whole life and since watching his reality show over 15 yrs ago I try to be as kind to the environment as I can. You have great parents.”

A second wrote: “Ed Begley literally walks the walk in his commitment to earth-friendly practices. I have such admiration for him!”

Ed is well-known for hundreds of roles across stage, screen and TV.

He played Dr Victor Ehrlich in TV series St Elsewhere, which saw him scoop six Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe nomination.

Ed was mixing with the great and good of Hollywood as he arrived at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, with the full list of Oscars Award winners now revealed.
