Over the weekend, in parts of the UAE temperatures peaked at 51 degrees Celsius this weekend with 90 per cent humidity.
While the heatwave continues this season, extreme temperatures are expected as usual by residents of the UAE, who are constantly trying to acclimatize to the conditions accordingly, to avoid any heat-related illnesses.
As per a tweet by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the highest recorded temperature over the country on June 4 was 51°C in Sweihan (Al Ain).

More sweltering temperatures are on the horizon as experts have predicted that temperatures could reach around 45 degrees Celcius as the humidity could reach a 90 per cent mark, with a morning fog in specific areas between the capital and Dubai.
Due to the scorching weather, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has also confirmed a 2.5-hour midday break for workers that are required to be outside due to the nature of their job, which is all set to begin from June 15, 2021, onwards.
