Gigi Hadid has opened up about her pregnancy style, particularly about how she’s managed to hide her bump for so long.
In a recent Instagram video where she chatted to New York-based chef Sophia Roe, the pair chatted about an array of topics including racial inequality and understanding privilege. However, in the comments of the post, one fan had some questions about Hadid’s pregnancy.
The fan asked about how the 25-year-old didn’t “have a tummy”, reflecting on her own pregnancy at four months. The supermodel responded saying it was all down to a particular style.
“This angle and the really baggy jumpsuit make for an optical illusion,” she said. “From the side it’s a different story!”
Hadid has kept her pregnancy largely under wraps since she confirmed she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik, but back in May she opened up about how she knew she was pregnant during Fashion Month.
In an Instagram Live with makeup brand Maybelline and makeup artists Erin Parsons, the model revealed she was a “few months” pregnant when she was strutting down various catwalks during Fashion Month earlier this year.
The news of Gigi’s pregnancy was leaked by and in late April.
The model spoke of her pregnancy for the first time during a video call appearance on , admitting they would have liked to reveal the news on their “own terms”, but also thanked everyone for their congratulations.
“Obviously, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support,” the 25-year-old said.
It’s been reported the Hadid and Malik are expecting a girl, but neither of them has officially confirmed the gender. The couple are expecting to welcome their first child together around September time.
