Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has shared a message of congratulations to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle upon the birth of their second child, a baby girl.
The arrival of the newborn was announced by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a statement also revealing the name of the baby girl who is named after Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, by her nickname ‘Lilibet’, and Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.
The Duke and Duchess’ newborn daughter is named Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
Upon the announcement, the Queen and other members of the royal family shared their congrats.

“Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana!” the statement posted to the official royal family Twitter page read. “The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news.
“Lilibet is Her Majesty’s 11th great-grandchild.”
A separate message from Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall was also posted on the Clarence House Instagram account.
“Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie on the arrival of baby Lilibet Diana,” the post read with a photo of the Sussex family from their royal tour in Africa in 2019. “Wishing them all well at this time.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also shared a message.
“We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,” the post read. “Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”
