Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced the birth of their second child – a baby girl.
The arrival of the newborn was announced by the couple in a statement also revealing the name of the baby girl who is named after Prince Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, by her nickname ‘Lilibet’, and Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s newborn daughter is named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
She was born on Friday morning in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
The couple announced the news they were expecting their second child back in February alongside a sweet black and white photo of the pair sitting in the sun together whilst Meghan cradled her small bump.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wed in May 2018 and then welcomed their first child Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a year later.
The family now reside in Montecito, California, after stepping down from public royal duties last year.
