Another day, another win
Festival season has been good to Hend Sabry, who has been making waves, both regionally and internationally. It just keeps getting better for the Tunisian actress, who won the Best Actress award at the Carthage Film Festival.
The actress received one of the festival’s biggest awards for her incredible performance in The drama, directed by Hinde Boujemaa’s tells the story of a wife and mother who is trying to escape from life with her abusive husband. Other than Hend’s award, the film took home the prestigious Golden Tanit award for Best Feature Film at the Tunisian awards.
After her win, Hend took to Twitter to share the moment with her fans and express her gratitude. She posted pictures of herself with the award, saying the feeling is “indescribable.”

Hinde Boujemaa’S heart-touching story first had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. After that, it has its regional screening in Egypt’s El Gouna Film Festival. This festival run has proven successful for Hend, who kicked it all of back in August, when she joined the jury panel of the Luigi De Laurentiis Award for a Debut Film at the Venice Film Festival. This was a historic moment, as the Tunisian actress was the first Arab women to sit on the festival’s judging panel.
