Ras Al Khaimah shall be spending around $136.14 million (Dhs500 million) on different tourism-related projects ranging from sustainable pop-ups to nature-fuelled activities as reported by the Tourism Development Authority.
From magnificent landscapes to breathtaking coastlines, Ras Al Khaimah has always been known as the emirate offering a unique experience with being just 45 minutes away from the bustling metropolis of Dubai.
With year-long sunshine and a host of newly diverse activities, you can experience the region’s host of outdoor activities as the Ras Al Khaimah Tourist Development Authority (RAKTDA) lays emphasis on its mission to focus on sustainability, wellness and adventure through these projects, as the Earth Hotels Altitude, will come on board as an eco-conscious project with 15 fully fitted accommodation unites, opening on the mountains.
If you’re on the lookout for an adventurous staycation, there are plenty of new options varying from wild to luxury ones, which include a food and beverage village, pop-up boutique hotels and an eco-friendly camping experience to let you witness a different side to the emirate. Projects such as the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp are also set to expand to bring in additional accommodation, with 30 additional cabins, making it one of the most sought after activities to visit in the emirate.
In addition already being home to one of the world’s longest zip line’s which spans over 64 metres of coastline, a beachfront project by Marjan, in the pipeline shall also offer aquatic adventures consisting of oysters and diving packages.
