Despite having been married for 27 years, it seems His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan are more in love than ever.
So much so, Queen Rania shared a sweet and heartwarming message to her husband to mark their anniversary.
Posting a photo of herself holding hands with King Abdullah II on Instagram, Queen Rania revealed she falls in love with her husband “over and over again”.
“How could you not fall in love with that smile, over and over again for 27 years,” she said. “So lucky and grateful to have you by my side, happy anniversary.
The pair first met when King Abdullah was still a prince in August 1992 at a dinner party, and just six months later they announced their engagement. The couple then married the following June in 1993.
Throughout their marriage, the couple has experienced many milestones together including having four children – Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem – as well as King Abdullah II becoming the reigning monarch of Jordan in February 1999, and Queen Rania officially becoming queen the following month.
It’s safe to say each year this couple grows stronger and stronger, with millions of adoring people watching on.
