Dubai has made it clear it hasn’t forgotten about its beloved tourists, 15 million of which visit the emirate every year.
With travel to Dubai, and to the rest of the world, having been put on hold for the last three months due to the global pandemic, many across the globe will be dreaming of their next trip.
When that happens Dubai will be ready to welcome all visitors with open arms in a video which was just released by the tourism board.
Titled ‘We Will See You Soon’, the heartwarming video posted to the Visit Dubai Instagram page sent a reassuring message to all tourists wherever they may be visiting from.
Showcasing the spectacular skyline of the city, along with notable landmarks, the video also showcases how Dubai has been sterilising the city and the precautionary measures that have been put in place in the fight against COVID-19.
“We’ve been waiting, dreaming, looking forward, to when we meet again,” the narrator of the video says. “We’ve also been preparing, getting ready, knowing the time to see each other comes closer with every rising sun.”
Clearly wanting to showcase what the emirate has to offer visitors, viewers are taken to the likes of Old Dubai, the desert, a show at La Perle and hot air ballooning over the city and camel riding, which are just a few of the things tourists can do here.
“We will welcome you with open doors,” the narrator says closing the video. “We will make your journey extraordinary. We said we needed a moment, and it will only be a moment more. We will see you soon.”
In just over 24 hours, the video already has over 580,000 views. This, to us, says people are clearly eagerly awaiting their next trip to Dubai, and the wait may not be that long.
Interestingly at the end of April, Helal Al Marri, the director-general of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, explained the emirate could start welcoming back tourists this summer in a gradual process for things to return to normality.
Here’s hoping it’s sooner, rather than later.
