Eid Al Fitr holiday break announced for the UAE

The Eid Al Fitr holiday dates have been announced by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources in the UAE.

The break, which applies to public sector employees, will from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3 as per the Islamic calendar.

At present Ramadan 29 is expected to fall on Friday, May 22, meanwhile Shawwal 3 will likely fall on Tuesday, May 26, but the exact dates need to be confirmed based on moon-sighting observation.

As stated above, the announcement from the UAE’s Federal Authority for Government Human Resources is in relation to public sector employees.

However, according to , a separate announcement for private sector employees is expected to be made.
