Your fabulous guide to this weekend in Dubai: June 26-28

We are making the most of post-lockdown freedom with creative nail art, a drive-through cinema date and a new staycation offer.

Mykonos is calling

Sunseekers across Dubai all cheered when Nammos at the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah reopened after lockdown. One of the newest beach destinations in the city gets busy pretty quickly so if you want to grab an Instagrammable sunbed (entry is Dhs200) we suggest booking ahead.

Treat your fridge

We find it difficult to resists a food hall, especially when it looks as good as the revamped space at Marks & Spencer in the Dubai Mall. The relaunched store has a shiny new café and most importantly a huge area that houses over 2,000 fine grocery items including fuss-free premium ready meals which are ideal for those days when you simply can’t be bothered to cook. For the weekend, pick up one of the luxury cheese boards that will go perfectly with a bottle of red.

Three is a magic number

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has finally reopened with three special offers. Pick ‘Dream Away’ for a staycation and enjoy 20 per cent off best available rate, while the pool day offer at Dhs150 is too good to miss, especially as you get the full amount back for resort dining. In addition, kids under 12 can make full use of the facilities for free. For the ultimate break, the ‘Best of Waldorf Staycation’ rewards you with Dhs200 per day to spend in the resort upon booking a room or suite. Both the ‘Dream Away’ and ‘Best of Waldorf Staycation’ offers include late check-out and early check-in, waived early departure fees, 24-hour cancellation with no deposit and complimentary upgrade to the next room category. What are you waiting for?

Night at the movies

During lockdown, we have been longing to go to the cinema. Although we had to wait a few weeks for a movie date, it gave venues across Dubai a chance to do something a little different by throwing it back to the retro era of drive-through cinema. Reel Cinemas introduced it’s version located on top of The Dubai Mall Zabeel in Downtown Dubai. With jaw-dropping views of a dazzling skyline, screenings run daily from 8pm and you have 31 different movies to choose from. Priced at Dhs170 per car, that can have maximum of two people inside, the booking also includes a variety of drinks and snacks.

Finger painting

If Bella Hadid’s favourite manicurist sparked your adventurous side, then we have just the spot for you. SO Art + Beauty, located in Galleria Mall Al Wasl and Galleria Mall Al Barsha, has been one of the leading destinations for nail art in the city. Not only do they use your fingernails as canvases of self-expression, but they can also decorate your handbag with any design you wish.

Pay it forward
