Your fabulous guide to this weekend in Dubai: July 2-4

We are dedicating this weekend to multiple ways you can cool off from the heat. Whether it’s a staycation, ice cream delivery or a late-night brunch, there is more than one way to chill on your days off.

Return of a family fave

dubai weekend guide

Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa has reopened its doors and to mark this occasion the hotel is offering impressive summer room rates. Starting from Dhs440 for room only or Dhs650 if you also want breakfast at Brasserie 2.0 and dinner at any of the award-winning culinary venues. Restaurants that are open daily include the seafood venue Geales; Indian favourite Indya by Vineet and authentic Italian restaurant La Strega. The Resort has also introduced an exclusive pool and beach day offer. Priced at Dhs200 for adults and Dhs 75 for children aged six to 12-years-old (kids under six go for free) during the week, you can spend the day enjoying the resort’s multiple pools and spacious beach facilities. As an added bonus, the entry fee is fully redeemable on food and drink.

Cool delivery

Who can resist a frozen yoghurt in this heat? Available to order through Deliveroo, Yoghurtland has various flavours to choose from and even more topics to create your personal treat. Don’t forget the sprinkles.

Home comforts

One of our favourite Italian restaurants in the city, Roberto’s, has decided to enhance your usual takeaway with a stellar Italian feast. The DIFC venue has introduced a delivery so you can tuck into its signature dishes in the comfort of your home. All of the items will be precooked and delivered in chic Roberto’s boxes, while QR code will video connect you to a chef for any dishes that require finishing touches. Definitely more of an at-home culinary experience than a regular takeaway. To order call or WhatsApp- +971 50 451 4355, email- AtHome@robertos.ae or head to robertosrestaurants.com/dubai/.

Your dark side

If you prefer to brunch late into the night then you’ll welcome the return of We Brunch: After Dark at the Accents Restaurant located in Intercontinental Dubai Marina. Taking place every Friday at the new timings of 8pm to 11pm, and for it’s opening night on July 3 it is upgrading all its regular packages to Bubbles that can be enjoyed with several fabulous dishes from the a la carte menu served directly to your table. Up to six people are permitted on one table and prices start at Dhs299 for soft drink while house beverages including free bubbles upgrade is Dhs349.

Chill out

Seems like it’s only cool treats like ice cream that can get us through this heat, but they’re not so good on the waistline. Luckily Pierre Marcolini has launched instant ice lollies that contain 65 per cent less sugar, so you can indulge without the added guilt. Choose from six different flavours including vanilla, chocolate, coconut, yuzu, raspberry and mango and feel instantly refreshed. There are also ice creams that are made from 86 per cent less sugar but are just as delicious. Available on Deliveroo.
