HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council has praised the efforts the residents of Dubai have taken to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Whilst chairing a virtual meeting with Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, he thanked those in the emirate for their “commitment” to keeping everyone safe. His Highness was also given an update on COVID-19 and results the lifting of restrictions in the city.
“We thank Dubai for its commitment and ask all to stay safe and keep following the precautionary measures,” Sheikh Hamdan said.

His Highness also commended the “leaps” taken by medical staff in order to prevent the virus from spreading.

During the meeting the implementation of the Dhs1.5 billion stimulus package was also discussed, and how it is helping relieve the pressures currently being put on companies and businesses due to the pandemic.
As of May 4 there has been 14,163 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the UAE — 2,762 have recovered, and 126 have died.
